“It has to go well” – Strolz plans comeback – NEOS boss is happy

Date:

After his resignation as NEOS boss, Matthias Strolz remained busy and recently made a name for himself with his musical activities. Now he has said he is planning a return to politics. His successor Beate Meinl-Reisinger is happy.

Strolz, 50, told the ‘Standard’ that his children were the reason he left politics, noting that “the children are getting older.” He is a ‘political ghost’ and is not done with politics yet. He is “ready” for a comeback and there is “energy back”, according to the founder of NEOS. He did not reveal exactly what he planned to do and when he would return.

“A sign that things should go well”
Strolz co-founded NEOS in 2012 and joined the National Council a year later. He retired in 2018. Beate Meinl-Reisinger succeeded him at the head of the party. She responded positively to Strolz’s possible comeback. “It is a sign that we must be doing well if people like Matthias want to come back,” the current NEOS boss explains.

Sepp does it again
Recently, another major driving force of the Pink Party announced his return to politics. Restaurateur and entrepreneur Sepp Schellhorn used to be an eloquent member of the NEOS and is currently best known for his cooking videos on Instagram under the motto: “Sepp, what are you doing?”

After persistent rumors of a comeback, he recently officially announced his intention to run again for the Liberal Party in the next National Council elections. On Wednesday, Schellhorn published ten political “reactions” to the crooked state of society that he identified on Instagram.
