The fire brigade rescued a family of three from a fire in a single-family home in Salzburger Oberndorf on the night of Wednesday to Thursday. When emergency services arrived, the kitchen was already on fire.
The five-year-old daughter discovered the fire and woke her parents; the father initially tried in vain to extinguish the fire himself.
When the fire brigade arrived, the family of three was already on the balcony – flames were coming from the kitchen. While a respiratory protection team fought the fire, the family was brought to safety using a ladder. Everyone was unharmed.
The kitchen burned down completely and the entire house was severely damaged by smoke.
