Fire alarm late Sunday evening in Innsbruck: a farm building in the Vill district was completely on fire. About 80 emergency services battled the flaming inferno for hours. The cause is still completely unclear. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m., the fire broke out in the farm building in the Viller Berg district in the south of the Tyrolean capital. The professional fire brigade of Innsbruck and the volunteer fire brigades Vill, Igls and Amras quickly arrived on the scene with around 80 emergency services and started extinguishing the fire.
A lot of waste is stored in the building
“The extinguishing work was very difficult,” Gerhard Mayregger, commander of the FF Igls, told the “Krone”. There would have been a lot of waste in the shed, including plastic.
Research difficult due to risk of collapse
The fire was finally completely extinguished around 12.45 pm. “Due to the risk of collapse, it was not possible to determine the cause of the fire at this time,” the police said. The building was completely destroyed. No one was injured.
