Tragic death: When a farmer was driving an agricultural loader in Birkfeld on Thursday, the vehicle fell down a steep meadow – the 63-year-old suffered fatal injuries.
The 63-year-old from the Weiz district was carrying out agricultural work on Thursday and was using the agricultural loader. Around 10:30 a.m. he was digging up his property. He wanted to transport the excavated material into the forest using a farm loader along a steep forest path.

When he had unloaded the earth, he wanted to turn around, but then the accident happened. However, the vehicle fell approximately 50 meters over a steep meadow. He rolled over several times and the 63-year-old was thrown from the vehicle.
Emergency services immediately alerted
Family members immediately alerted the rescue team, but any help came too late for the farmer. The emergency doctor could only determine that the man was dead.
