Two completely frightened women fled to a police station early Thursday morning. A man had chased her and groped her. The police officers immediately gave chase – and were violently attacked by the 29-year-old.
The two women, aged 28 and 38, were walking together in Brigittenau around 5 a.m. when the 29-year-old suddenly approached them. He asked them to have sexual intercourse and touched the women inappropriately.
Attacker wanted to pull woman out of lock
The two victims then fled to the police station in Dresdner Strasse. However, the man followed them and even tried to pull one of them out of the lock. Only when he saw the police officers did he flee.
The officers immediately gave chase and were able to stop the Austrian shortly afterwards. The 29-year-old completely panicked and headbutted one of the officers. The suspect was arrested.
When he was taken to prison, he attacked the police officers again and injured one officer so badly that he could not continue his duty.
The 29-year-old was already officially known.
