Not all Hamas victims; attack helicopters also shot at festival guests

Date:

On Saturday, Israeli investigators increased the number of people killed by Hamas during a music festival in the Negev Desert. It has also become known that several partygoers were killed by fire from a military helicopter.

Haaretz daily reported on Saturday that an army Apache attack helicopter that took off from the Ramat David base immediately opened fire on the armed fighters. But countless fleeing festival visitors were also affected.

“Difficulties in identifying terrorists”
The newspaper Yediot Acharonot reported “difficulties in identifying Hamas terrorists.” However, this was due to the Islamists moving among the partygoers and moving with them. Rocket attacks therefore also affect the visitors of the event.

Only recently did Israeli authorities lower the number of victims of the Hamas terror wave by about 200. An adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had to admit an “error” in the calculation. Many of the bodies burned beyond recognition were Hamas terrorists.

“Initially we quoted a casualty figure of around 1,400 people after the horrific massacres perpetrated by Hamas. Now we have reduced this to 1200 because we saw that we had made mistakes. There were badly burned bodies and we thought they were our people. But in the end they were Hamas terrorists,” former ambassador to London Mark Regev told American broadcaster MSNBC on Friday.

Israeli official: “We openly admit mistakes”
Senior official’s addendum: “At least we openly admit our mistakes.” At the same time, he asked moderator Mehdi Hasan why the number of casualties reported by Hamas from the Gaza Strip was seen as facts.

Below you can see an excerpt from the interview:

In this context, Hasan, a British journalist with Indian roots, also pointed to videos and images from the Israeli army that had been presented as “evidence” – including a calendar that, according to the army spokesman, showed the “hostage’s shift schedule.” takers” was written down. “But it was just a calendar on which the individual days were written in Arabic,” says Hasan. Moreover, “a colleague” in the Prime Minister’s Office presented a photo from the Gaza Strip in which Palestinians were said to be “just faked” their injuries.

Regarding the agenda item, Regev simply said that he did not know Arabic. Regarding the other recording, the advisor explained that an error had also been made here. However, Regev emphasized: “We openly admit mistakes. But Hamas deliberately reports higher casualty numbers to support its own propaganda.”

The information war in the Middle East
krone.at has already reported several times about the information war that both sides are bitterly waging. Attention was drawn, among other things, to the fact that older recordings from Syria or Iraq or even from computer games are repeatedly distributed on social media to, among other things, promote ‘war crimes’ by the Israeli army or ‘successes’ by Hamas.
