A 19-year-old woman from Styria drove her car off the B 320 in Radstadt (Salzburg) on Tuesday afternoon and ended up on the Ennstalbahn track. She injured herself in the process. The route was completely closed during the operation.
Around 4:30 p.m., the woman (19) from Styria, for reasons that are still unclear, drove over an embankment next to Ennstal-Straße and fell from an embankment. She landed her car on the tracks of the Ennstalbahn.
Train route closed
The Radstadt fire brigade prepared to extinguish the car. However, the car was only smoking because the airbag deployed when the Floriani arrived. The ÖBB was informed of the operation and the state warning center closed the train route. Together with a company, the Radstadt volunteer fire brigade recovered the car.
Driver in hospital
The 19-year-old received first aid at the scene and was taken by ambulance to Schladming Hospital. The train route and the national highway were closed for two hours.
