LAB demands “a public community system that guarantees the universal right to care”

The Union LABORATORY have demanded a public community system that improves the living conditions and ensures the safety of all workers universal right to care. The center believes that employers are ‘getting rich from the healthcare sector’ and are therefore ‘promoting and reproducing economic violence’.

In Iruñea, in turn, the spokesperson of Navarre, Imanol Karrera, and the member of the Feminist Secretariat and Management of the Union, Arantza Vázquez, were present.

In their statements they stated that currently the majority of Healthcare services have been privatized and owned by a few companies, which also receive government funding. “They have the government’s support to continue enriching themselves at the expense of workers, users and families. The political parties that run our institutions have laid out the red carpet for the privatization of healthcare services,” they said.
