Dramatic accident Wednesday afternoon in front of the federal school center in Deutschlandsberg: the driver (75) of a moped suffered a medical emergency, drove the light vehicle onto the sidewalk and hit two young pedestrians. All three people involved in the accident were taken to hospital.
Shortly before noon, the 75-year-old driver of a light car drove on Lagergasse towards the city center in Deutschlandsberg. Western Styria suddenly experienced a medical emergency near a federal school center.
The 75-year-old drove his car onto the sidewalk. He collided with two pedestrians – 17 and 18 years old. He then crashed into a street lamp.

The 18-year-old from the Deutschlandsberg district was admitted to the LKH Wagna with a leg injury. The 17-year-old pedestrian – also from the area – was taken to the children’s clinic in Graz with minor injuries. The 75-year-old was admitted to LKH Graz due to his medical emergency.
The Red Cross was present with three ambulances, a command vehicle and an emergency doctor. The police registered the accident and the FF Deutschlandsberg recovered the accident car.
