An initially unknown caller put the emergency services on alert. On Thursday around 8 p.m. he made an emergency call to say that a father had stabbed his 15-year-old son in the stomach with a knife on Rotkreuzstrasse in Lustenau. Then the call was disconnected.
Those responsible at the rescue and fire control center in Feldkirch immediately passed on the information to the police. Because the vague information in the complaint clearly indicated that the alleged crime scene was an apartment building on Rotkreuzstrasse in Lustenau, several police officers searched the building.
Attack only fake
However, during conversations with the residents of the home, there were no indications of a knife attack. After further investigation, it turned out that the son of one of the residents had apparently faked the knife attack in a telephone conversation.
The son, who does not live in Lustenau but in Frastanz, is now reported to the Feldkirch Public Prosecutor’s Office for misuse of emergency signals. A total of eleven police patrols were involved in the operation in Lustenau and then in Frastanz.
