A Polish construction worker (57) suffered head and back injuries after falling from scaffolding in Salzburg on Wednesday. The reason: part of the scaffolding broke off. He was taken to hospital by helicopter.
In the afternoon, the worker wanted to dismantle scaffolding on the facade of an apartment building in Straßwalchen. Suddenly, a corner piece on which the 57-year-old was standing gave way.
Fallen into the depths
The man fell four meters down. He injured his head and back, but the exact extent of the injury is unknown.
The rescue helicopter Christophorus 6 took the Pole to the accident hospital in Salzburg. The police have no indications of foul play.
