senior representatives of Siemens Energy liaising with the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque governmentof to close a meeting after the confirmation, by the German multinational, of the formulation of a takeover offer (OPA) to acquire 100% of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE), located in Zamudio (Bizkaia).
According to sources from the Arantxa Tapia department, it is the management’s wish that the meeting be held “earlier”.
Meanwhile, the ministry is in contact with the business committee and the unions, but has not held any meetings as they still do not know the details about the operation and plans of the German multinational.
Tapia yesterday, in an interview to Radio Euskadi, complained about the “lack of detailed information” about Siemens Energy’s claims, especially that it is not given to staff.
