Focus on protection dogs – sharp dogs and their extremely cruel lobby

Date:

Dogs are family members and friends. But there are also people who like to encourage them to bite. During an exclusive meeting with the “Krone”, Minister Johannes Rauch finds clear words.

Do you know the Horsemen of the Apocalypse? They are the messengers of the final judgment and bring war, pestilence and death. A dog trainer describes an alliance of the country’s largest animal protection organizations as these unhealthy biblical figures.

They demand that dogs should no longer be allowed to attack people. A demand that speaks from the hearts of countless Austrians. Understandable, since dogs are considered people’s best friends. And as a living weapon that has learned to bite humans (albeit in a protective case), he is a threat.

Experts see it that way and warn: “If dogs are trained in this way, they pose a great danger to the public and even become aggressive junkies.”

Sexist messages from protection dog advocates
The approach of some proponents of this ‘training’ is also described as very aggressive. Critical dog trainers and organizations report highly offensive, sexist posts on social platforms. But huge threats such as ‘you have to hit him with a roof batten’ are no exception.

Added to this are the lies that put even Münchausen to shame! The Dog Umbrella Association (ÖKV) writes in a press release: “With the ban on bite training, the training of all working, service and assistance dogs would also be prohibited.” Eva Rosenberg of the Four Paws said: “It’s unbelievable how brazen By lying here you’re trying to upset people.”

Simply absurd, because what does bite training have to do with a guide dog? Police or military dogs must continue to undergo this training. It exclusively concerns private individuals who enjoy marketing their animals to people under the guise of ‘utility dog sport’. This is often accompanied by posted photos in which dogs are presented as particularly combative and fierce.

Debates in Parliament
Minister Johannes Rauch, who called for an end to bite training in a regulation, also received heavy criticism from the ÖKV and even from parliamentarians. Namely – and this is grotesque for many – by Dietmar Keck, who is actually the spokesman for the SPÖ’s animal protection. Foreign? This behavior becomes clear when you know that Keck himself is a fan and organizer of “dog sports tournaments” – and is close to the ÖKV.

Minister Rauch has had enough of all this slander and lies! On an exclusive “Krone” appointment with Maggie Entenfellner, Eva Rosenberger from Vier Pfoten and dog trainer V. Cooksley:

“My goal, by banning attack and bite training in people with or without gunny suits in private dog training, is not only to reduce bite attacks, but also to protect dogs from these stress and anxiety-inducing training methods.” This is where the Schutzhunde will be -Lobby has probably taken a bite out of the minister.
