A 49-year-old man has been arrested in Salzburg for allegedly beating and injuring his 13-year-old daughter and the child’s mother for years.
A 13-year-old and her mother were allegedly abused and injured several times by the father of the family in Salzburg over three years. On Saturday evening, a family dispute in the Lehen district threatened to escalate. The 35-year-old then alerted the police.
Taken to prison
The girl’s mother remained silent and described her ordeal to officials. The 49-year-old was subsequently denied access to the building. He was subsequently arrested by the public prosecutor and taken to prison.
A weapons ban was also issued against the man, the police reported in a press release. Further investigations are still ongoing.
