It was quite an awakening for the employees of a car dealership in Houston, Texas. Overnight, unknown people had ripped off the bumpers and fenders of several parked cars and SUVs and scratched the doors. The material damage amounted to more than 400,000 euros.
The employees were even more surprised when they saw the images from the surveillance camera: instead of a gang of rioters or drunkards, the perpetrators turned out to be two dogs. The videos show how the four-legged friends compete against five vehicles in the most diverse designs.
Imran Haq, owner of G Motors, is still stunned: “The two dogs worked together as a team. They clung to the bumpers until they were loose and then tore them off. It almost looked like a targeted attack.”
When he wanted to report the unknown owner, he was waved away: “The police said they couldn’t do anything because no one was hurt.” Haq has now hired a private detective to investigate the dog’s owner. then I can and will sue him civilly.’
