A serious traffic accident occurred in a parking lot in the Tyrolean Oberland on Monday morning. A 28-year-old was hit by a reversing truck and pinned between the truck and his pickup. The man was taken to hospital with injuries.
The Romanian was topping up the windscreen fluid in his van at around 10.15 am at the Kronburg car park in the municipality of Zams (Landeck district) when the accident occurred.
Carriers overlooked
In front of the vehicle, a 33-year-old driver from Belarus was reversing his truck and looking out at the Romanian’s van behind him. The 28-year-old was trapped between the vehicles and was injured.
Eyewitnesses provided first aid
Several eyewitnesses rushed over and gave the man first aid. A police patrol happened to happen and alerted the emergency services. They took the injured man to Zams Hospital.
