Witnesses made a terrifying discovery on Saturday in the Hirschegg municipality in Vorarlberg. They had found a skeleton on the mountain below the Hochgehrenspitze and immediately alerted the police.
According to the police, the body is most likely a 67-year-old man who has been missing from Baden-Württemberg since the autumn of 2021. He was recently hiking in the Fellhorn – Fiderepass area alone.

The police officers assume a crash during the walk. The body was then recovered by the police helicopter and flown into the valley. Further investigations are currently underway with the German police to clarify the exact identity and course of the accident.
