Witness speaks out – Dead Tengelmann boss: What did the authorities know?

Date:

Although German billionaire Karl-Erivan Haub has been declared legally dead for over two years, doubts still persist about his death during a ski trip in the Swiss Alps. Now a witness has broken his silence for the first time. He claims that German authorities know much more than is currently known.

The last recording of the former head of the Tengelmann group of companies was taken from a surveillance camera at the Klein Matterhorn mountain station on April 7, 2018, shortly after 9 a.m. As the mountain rescue team searched for days in crevices for the 58-year-old, internal investigators reportedly already had another suspicion: an “intentional” disappearance.

Internal investigators were looking for the manager in Russia
The internal files found their way to various German media. Shortly afterwards, a search was underway in Russia for the missing manager. Because of his contacts with Russia, Haub was also targeted by the American secret services and the Federal Police (FBI). But the German authorities did not respond to these suspicions, according to the German magazine ‘Stern’.

Now a former close colleague of Haub has contacted the TV channel RTL and revealed some interesting details. “The authorities knew, but there was no possibility of further investigation,” claims the witness, who wishes to remain anonymous.

There is also talk of questionable business dealings with Russia and pressure on Swiss authorities to stick to the accident version of the 58-year-old’s disappearance. The witness reports that no investigation has been conducted into these “secret transactions”. From today’s perspective, based on everything that is now known, he cannot explain it.

Investigative journalist convinced: ‘He is still alive’
Investigative journalist Liv von Boetticher has written a book about the case and is convinced that Haub is still alive and in hiding. Von Boetticher even submitted a request to the court to withdraw the death declaration. The Public Prosecution Service in Cologne is against it due to a lack of evidence.
