In the early morning hours of December 8, there was a fire in an apartment building in Vöcklabruck. The fire brigade rescued several residents and the entire building was temporarily evacuated.
A neighbor in the apartment building on Kaplan Street in Vöcklabruck noticed the fire on the first floor around 2 a.m. and alerted the emergency services. When the fire brigade arrived at the scene of the accident, the entire stairwell was already heavily smoked. While firefighting efforts began, the respiratory protection team searched the building and found the 66-year-old resident of the fire apartment unconscious in front of her entrance door. She was rescued from the smoke-filled room by firefighters and taken to hospital after first aid.
