On Monday morning there was another case of domestic violence in an apartment in Vienna-Ottakring. A 29-year-old attacked his wife (20) with a knife.
Attentive neighbors heard loud screams coming from the apartment and immediately called the police. When officers arrived, the 20-year-old stated during questioning that her husband had hit her during the argument.
Arguing about alcohol
Shortly afterwards he pulled out a knife and tried to stab her in the stomach. He injured her hand. The reason for the argument was that the 29-year-old was drunk and therefore the woman forbade the suspect from interacting with their baby.
The 29-year-old was banned from entering and approaching the building, as well as a temporary weapons ban.
