Bilbao has approximately six million travelers, after the best month of November with 18% more travelers. Hondarribia reached 445,698, 26.9% more passengers, and Foronda had 291,777 travelers, 35.4% more. A total of 179,235 travelers passed through Noain until November, an increase of 15.2%.
The airport operator Aena (Spanish airports and aviation) announced on Tuesday the number of users at Hegoalde airports in November. While Bilbao and San Sebastián have increased their number of users, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Noain have seen their number of travelers decrease. Nevertheless, passenger volume at Hegoalde airports is very positive.
According to Aena data, between January 1 and November 30, via the terminal Pigeon 5,865,826 passengers have moved, 23.9% more than in the same period of 2022, after registration of the best November in its history with more than 452,000 travelers18% more than in the same month last year.
So far in 2023 the number of passengers at the airport Hondarribia amounts to 445,698, 26.9% more than during the first eleven months of the previous year, and a total of 34,490 passengers used Gipuzkoa Airport last November, which represents an increase of 16.5% compared to the same month in 2022 .
A total of 14,742 people used the airport Foronda in November, which represents a decrease of 23% compared to the same month last year, a decrease that contrasts with the strong increase achieved in October, when a record was reached by counting 18,198 travelers, 33.3% more.
Aena has released these figures showing this drop in passenger numbers, but given the good figures of previous months, 291,777 people traveled from Alava Airport in the first eleven months of this year, which represents an increase of 35.4% than in the same period of 2022.
