Five missions in just under five hours: The snowy Wednesday evening was tough for the fire brigade of Tamsweg (Salzburg).
First, the fire brigade rescue vehicle went to Weißpriach at 5:04 p.m. to support the recovery of the vehicle. On the access road to Fanningberg, a car had left the road and was in danger of falling over the slope. The car was recovered with the help of a crane. The operation for the Floriani from Tamsweg lasted just under an hour.
5.09 pm: On to the Seetal, part 1
While the heavy rescue vehicle was still on its way to the operation in Weißpriach, the following alarm sounded. In the Seetal district on the B96, a car left the road and got stuck in the ditch. The team immediately left with the fire truck and the Sauerfeld fire truck was also alerted. The car was quickly rescued from the ditch with the help of the fire truck’s built-in cable winch.
6.44 pm: On to the Seetal, part 2
The emergency services were barely on the scene when the alarm was raised again at 6:44 p.m. Another car skidded on the B96 in the Seetal district and fell over a roadside. The slightly injured driver was taken to Tamsweg Hospital. The vehicle was recovered with the help of a crane.
8.16 pm: On to the Seetal, part 3
The peace only lasted a short time, because at 8.16 pm the alarm was raised again, also on the B96 in the Seetal district. Another car veered off the road due to winter road conditions and came to rest just inches from a ditch. After 45 minutes, the operation including car recovery was successfully completed with 19 personnel and 3 vehicles.
10.11 pm: On to the Seetal, part 4
At 10:11 p.m. the main guard was warned again: it was the fifth operation within five hours! We went back to the Seetal district. On the B96, a tractor-trailer became stuck in a wood shed due to winter conditions.
The truck was quickly rescued with the help of a tow bar and the heavy rescue vehicle. The operation was completed successfully after 30 minutes.
