A 25-year-old bakery worker was attacked with a knife by a former colleague in the Ottakring district of Vienna early Friday morning. The 25-year-old was taken to hospital. The 62-year-old suspect was arrested.
The former employee came to the bakery on Thaliastrasse around 5:30 am and stabbed the 25-year-old. He then dropped the knife and fled. A short time later, passers-by discovered the bleeding victim and alerted the emergency services.
The Turk was injured in the upper body and was treated in hospital. The suspect, also Turkish, was arrested in his apartment a short time later with the support of WEGA. He has not yet been questioned.
