Good news for all fans of classical music: the outdoor dance “Götterklang meets Donaugold” will enter its fourth season next summer. Who will perform together with the virtuoso violinist Lidia Baich and star tenor Andreas Schager in 2024 and when the cultural highlight will take place on the Donaubühne in Tulln – the “Krone” has all the details.
When “Götterklang meets Donaugold” was performed for the first time on the open-air stage in Tulln in 2021, it quickly became clear: the organizers of the Cayenne Agency have really achieved something great! The landscape on the blue river, the incomparable mix of music by classical composers such as Richard Wagner & Co. with modern songs and “popular hits” from operetta – and of course the sympathetic artist duo from Lower Austria, Lidia Baich and Andreas Schager.
Grammy winner on board
Naturally, all this asked and still asks for an encore. This summer, the two world stars, who are also a private couple, brought Grammy winner Thomas Hampson on stage as reinforcement. He not only brought his breathtaking voice to the stage, but also great chemistry with the other leads. For next summer they are now counting on a female star guest for the first time.
