Because a 60-year-old was listening to music too loudly at night in his apartment in Vienna’s Donaustadt district, an irritated neighbor called her father for help. The 46-year-old Greek immediately came forward in anger – and punched the person who disturbed the peace in the face.
Around 5:30 a.m. the Greek went to the apartment building on Wagramer Strasse where his daughter lives. He knocked on the 60-year-old’s door. When it opened, the 46-year-old immediately hit him in the face with his fist.
He then gained access to the apartment and turned down the radio. The father then threatened to kill his daughter’s neighbor if he turned up the music again. To reinforce his words, he allegedly hit the victim again before leaving again.

More than an hour after the incident, the immediate search for the suspected perpetrator was successful. Police officers from the Simmeringer Hauptstrasse inspection were able to arrest the man at his workplace in Vienna-Simmering. The 46-year-old denies both the assault and the threat made. An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against him.
