A group of holidaymakers stand on the beach and look worriedly at the water. Next to him is a hotel employee who is nervously pacing and talking on the phone. What’s happening there? “A woman was screaming, we immediately let them know,” say the eyewitnesses. “But now she’s gone.”
“Do we have to go swimming later?” someone asks. “It’s better not, then they might have to look for three people instead of one…”
“Oh my God!”
The woman is out of sight. Only a small white dot – sea foam – indicates their position. At one point a tour boat chugs along and looks in the wrong place. A second hotel employee appears and asks how long it has been since the woman was seen. “Fifteen minutes before the boat came,” says a witness. “Oh my God!” the employee shouts…
