Around 2:45 a.m. there was a fight between several men in front of the club. Two people involved suffered stab wounds to the upper body. They received emergency medical care from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and were then taken to hospital.
A short time later, four suspects between the ages of 31 and 37 were arrested as part of an immediate search. The murder weapon, a knife, was found in a garbage bin nearby.

However, the investigation did not confirm any suspicions against the four men. Three admitted to being involved in the brawl, but did not use a knife. The fourth suspect claimed he was not involved in the fight. All four were reported overall.
