An incredibly tragic traffic accident occurred on Thursday evening in Vorau (Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district of Styria). A 16-year-old is said to have been hit by an unknown driver and fatally injured.
It was around 2:20 am when two witnesses in a vehicle on the L 405 discovered a shoe and several vehicle parts. The two continued to search the area and suddenly discovered the injured 16-year-old in the ditch. They immediately alerted the emergency services.
CPR failed
The 16-year-old from the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district is said to have walked towards Vorau and been hit by a passing car and then thrown into the ditch. The unknown driver is believed to have been involved in a collision. The emergency room’s resuscitation of the 16-year-old was unsuccessful, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Driver wanted
The Vorau Police Inspectorate is now looking for the unknown driver. There is a good chance that it is a silver VW car. The vehicle probably has damage to the right side of the vehicle (including a torn side mirror).
