A serious skiing accident occurred in the Kitzbühel/Kirchberg ski area on Monday. A ten-year-old German woman lost control of her skis and crashed into a tree. She was flown to the clinic in Innsbruck.
The ten-year-old girl was out with her parents on Monday afternoon when the accident happened. The family drove through the valley towards Kirchberg around 3:45 p.m. When the student tried to make a right turn, she lost control of her skis. She drove straight onto a path and crashed into a tree.

An uninvolved skier rushed over, gave the injured first aid and started the rescue chain. After initial treatment on site, the ten-year-old was flown to the clinic in Innsbruck.
