Before the crime, the Prague gunman confessed in a suicide note to the double murder of a walker and his baby. The letter was found in the house in Hostoun where the attacker lived with his father, police said on Wednesday.
“We cannot currently publish what else was in the letter,” the spokesperson continued. The ongoing investigations and interviews with witnesses should not be jeopardized. A few days ago, police announced that ballistics examination of a firearm found in the home had confirmed suspicions that the 24-year-old could also have been responsible for the earlier double murder. A reason is not clear.
The entire arsenal of weapons acquired legally
According to the current state of the investigation, before his attack at the university, the student killed his father in the house they shared in the municipality of Hostoun west of Prague and the hiker with his baby in a forest on the outskirts of Prague (see video above ). On December 21, he eventually shot fourteen people and seriously or seriously injured 25 others. He then committed suicide.
The fact that the shooter was apparently able to legally obtain an entire arsenal of weapons without arousing authorities’ suspicions drew criticism. The attack on the walker and his baby had already shocked the public in the Czech Republic.
