There were numerous skiing accidents in Styria on Friday. A 13-year-old girl, among others, was injured on the Reiteralm.
For reasons that are still unclear, the girl probably lost control of her skis on Friday and fell into a safety net during the Schober descent from the Reiteralm. She received first aid from the pister rescue team and the emergency doctor and was taken by rescue helicopter to DKH Schladming with suspected internal injuries.
Due to the large number of visitors and difficult driving conditions, a large number of accidents occurred in the Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm ski areas on December 29.
15 skiers were injured
The Alpine police officers from the Schladming police station were called to a total of twelve accidents involving self-injury and three accidents involving third parties. The Alpine Police investigates accidents, carries out searches and patrols in the Alpine region and provides first aid with rescue operations on the mountains and on slopes.
