A nine-year-old skier fell and was injured in the Tyrolean Finkenberg (Schwaz district) on Tuesday. The German was part of a ski school group in the “Penken” ski area. On a red run, an unknown skier skied between the girl and a child in front of her, causing the nine-year-old to fall. The skier continued. The girl was injured in the spine, chest and shoulder. It was recovered by the emergency medical helicopter.

The German was then flown to Schwaz Hospital. The girl was able to leave on Tuesday evening. The police are now asking for information (tel: 059133 – 7254). According to the nine-year-old, the unknown skier was wearing a light brown jacket and black ski pants. He also wore a white ski helmet and black sunglasses.
