Gipuzkoa users will enjoy the bonuses under the same conditions as in 2023 and will be added to the benefits of the Mugi system.
The Deputy for Mobility, Tourism and Territorial Planning of Gipuzkoa, Azahara Domínguez, confirmed this Wednesday that all Lurraldebus users will enjoy 50% discounts throughout 2024, under the same conditions as in 2023.
These bonuses will be added to the benefits of the Mugi system, which offers progressive discounts for use, free transfers between the different transport companies or bonuses for the most vulnerable groups and people with fewer resources.
In the published note, Domínguez recalled that the Ministry of Mobility, Tourism and Territorial Planning “committed in the fall to maintain the 20% reduction in Lurraldebus fares in 2024” and that this is now supplemented up to 50% by a part of the central government, after the Royal Decree regulating discounts on public transport was published last Thursday.
“We are pleased that the government of Pedro Sánchez has decided to continue to encourage the use of public transport and complements this bonus,” the deputy said.
Dominguez concluded that they will continue “to work on the development of Mugi, a pioneering and reference system in our country.”
