In 2023, Burgenland entered a new era of mobility. The state is satisfied with the results of the bell-share taxi. The focus is now on the national and cross-border rollout of the public transport system. At the same time there is also a “Gallic village”.
The mobility offer was launched on September 4 of the previous year – new timetables, bus lines and connections were intended to provide an attractive alternative to private cars. Four months after the start of the bid, both the Burgenland transport company (VBB) and the office of provincial councilor Heinrich Dorner are more than satisfied. The passenger numbers would also prove this: more than 420,814 people traveled on the VBB buses until Christmas.
