Man died in 2017 – St. Anna: Body was in apartment for six years

It is now clear that a 49-year-old man from Styria died of natural causes in St. Anna am Aigen in 2017. His skeletal body was not found until November.

The case caused a stir in November: While opening an apartment in the southeastern Styrian municipality of St. Anna am Aigen, police discovered a skeleton that had already been skeletonized.

Mail not collected, bills not paid
Because the resident had not collected his mail or paid bills for months, he was officially deregistered after two years of waiting.

The autopsy results are now available, as the state police headquarters confirmed to the “Krone” in the afternoon: the dead man was a Styrian from St. Anna who died at the age of 49.

The time of death dates from the fall of 2017 – that means he had lived in the apartment for more than six years! The local reason for this is that the man had no contact with family members.
