A German woman (18) lost a sledding track in Ramsau on Thursday and then became “self-employed”. An 18-year-old was injured when he tried to stop the sled. He was taken to Schwaz hospital by rescue helicopter.
An 18-year-old German was hit in the left knee and injured by a sled that had become independent on Thursday afternoon in a field in Ramsau in Tyrol’s Ziller Valley. The sled slipped away from a compatriot of the same age as she walked across the snow-covered field to reach a toboggan run. This caused the vehicle to slide down the 20-degree steep field and hit the German, who tried to catch him with his hand.
First aid provided by pister rescue
The young man was about 100 meters below. He received first aid on the spot from the snow rescue team. The 18-year-old was then flown to Schwaz hospital by rescue helicopter.
