An anti-Semitic attack took place in Berlin’s Neukölln district on Saturday evening. A 27-year-old woman and her 24-year-old companion were talking in Hebrew. Suddenly they were attacked with a chair.
According to previous findings, the two spoke on Saturday evening in a fast food restaurant in the Neukölln district. Two men were said to have been sitting at a neighboring table and were talking to each other in Arabic, according to police. “Upon noticing the language in which the 27-year-old and the 24-year-old were communicating, one of the men allegedly made derogatory comments to the two,” the director said in a statement.
The woman and the man asked him to “refrain from making such statements.” The previously unknown attacker then first poured an alcoholic drink in her direction and then became violent.
Attackers fled
The woman blocked the chair attack with her arms. The 24-year-old was punched in the face after he stood protectively in front of her. The attacker fled with his companion. Those attacked complained of pain in their arms and faces but refused medical treatment.
