Four children were killed in an attack on the home of a Taliban representative in Afghanistan. Unidentified people threw a hand grenade at the building in eastern Nangahar province on Monday evening, a Taliban spokesman said.
The attack targeted the head of the education department in Hesarak district. However, his four daughters, who were killed in the hand grenade attack, were hit.
According to the local Ministry of Culture and Information, the motive for the attack is still unclear. Since the Islamic Taliban came to power in August 2021, most attacks in Afghanistan have been carried out by the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS). Local resistance groups also carry out attacks on Taliban representatives.
