US and UK launch air strikes on Houthis in Yemen

The Shiite militia, backed by Iran, has responded with cruise missiles and ballistic missiles and declared war on those countries.

UNITED STATES (USA) and the United Kingdom This morning, several Houthi rebel military positions were bombed in at least six provinces Yemen in response to rebel attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea, a move that has sparked the Iranian-backed Shia movement declare war to these countries.

US President Joe Biden confirmed in a statement that under his leadership the US armed forces, together with Great Britain and the… support from Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlandshave carried out attacks on several targets in Yemen used by the Houthis.

“The international community’s response to these reckless attacks has been united and determined,” the US president said.

Witnesses consulted by the EFE agency indicate that the bombings have hit at least six provinces held by the Houthis, who have controlled much of northwestern Yemen since 2014, when a bloody war broke out that continues today.

According to sources, it is the bombed areas capital Sana’a; the port city of Al Hudeidah; and the provinces of Saada, Dhamar, Taiz and Hajjah, all in western Yemen.
