A family argument apparently made a 36-year-old in the Ried district so angry that he quickly grabbed a blank pistol and threatened to kill his relatives. The forces of the Cobra and the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG) overwhelmed the Innviertler.
The conflict, which was initially verbal, broke out last Friday at the family’s shared home in a small community near Pram in the Ried district. The 36-year-old was on drugs at the time of the crime.
Sisters and niece threatened
Suddenly the argument escalated. He threatened the family members – his two sisters and little niece – with an empty pistol ready to kill them. However, they were able to escape to an adjacent room and alert the police.
Special forces from Cobra and SIG overpowered the very aggressive man and arrested him. The 36-year-old was taken to Ried prison. The relatives were unharmed in the incident.
