The economic barometer for 2024 offers little reason for joy in Tyrol. 222 leading companies from all sectors were surveyed. There is a very somber mood, especially in the industry. Once again, familiar demands are being placed on politicians.
How are the leading Tyrolean companies in all sectors doing and how do they look to the future? The Chamber of Commerce asks these and many other questions every year. This year, exactly 222 companies with 42,000 employees were surveyed. A first look shows: After the crisis year 2023, a total of 23 percent currently rate their economic situation as good and 21 percent as bad (see graph below). The sectors that assess their situation more negatively than positively are service providers (23%), industry (31%), trade (33%) and transport (25%).
