Serious bodily harm, damage to property, defamation and resistance to state authority: a young man from the Waldviertel has now received a partial prison sentence at the Krems Regional Court.
He could not hide his criminal energy: in addition to several injured police officers, numerous threats, defamatory statements and material damage, a young man in the Waldviertel is also said to have a relevant criminal record. Because the suspect, fueled with a lot of alcohol, no longer simply allowed his words to be spoken meaningfully.
After his girlfriend ‘accidentally’ alerted the police to a made-up threat, the suspect’s fuses blew. He grabbed a police officer by the neck, choked him and almost bit off his finger! According to the expert, the result was 22 days of incapacitation: “The officer could not hold a weapon.” The attacker then wounded another uniformed officer in the thumb and kicked several police officers.
Imprisonment and compensation
Now the drunkard received a partial prison sentence of 21 months at the Krems Regional Court for serious bodily harm and resistance to state power, including almost 6,000 euros in damages – the verdict is not final.
