Police action Tuesday afternoon at a gas station in Kirchbichl in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein: A drunk man (52) allegedly threatened the cashier and her boyfriend with a blank pistol. The alerted police were able to arrest the suspect on the spot. Apparently it was not an (attempted) robbery…
Shortly before 4 p.m., the 52-year-old local resident caused a commotion at the gas station. According to police, the man threatened a 25-year-old and her boyfriend (31) with a blank pistol. When “Krone” asked, it was said the female victim was the cashier.
Arrest at the gas station
„“As part of the search measures that were immediately initiated, the suspect was arrested by police officers in the vicinity of the gas station,” investigators said. The blank pistol that the 52-year-old had in his jacket pocket was confiscated.
However, it was clearly not an (attempted) robbery; it was probably pure bragging. Because: ““Based on witness statements that the man had bragged several times in the past about possessing weapons, a voluntary inspection was carried out at his home address,” the investigators continue.
Additional weapons and ammunition seized
More weapons and ammunition parts were seized. According to police, the 52-year-old, who confessed, will be reported to the responsible authorities for dangerous threats and other administrative violations. The suspect is said to have been drunk at the time of the crime.
