During the night from Saturday to Sunday, wild scenes took place in front of the Vorarlberg nightclub “Sender”. According to police reports, two men of Chechen descent were seriously injured. The search is on for the unknown perpetrator.
According to initial findings, a previously unknown perpetrator shot two people of Chechen descent in front of the ‘Sender’ nightclub in Lustenau around 11:45 p.m. with a yet unidentified weapon. The two victims were hit in the limbs and suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries. According to witness statements, the perpetrator fled towards Lustenau in a black SUV and at too high speed.
200 nightclub guests surveyed
The crime scene was immediately cordoned off by the emergency services and the injured received first aid from the rescue team. The approximately 200 guests of the popular nightclub were questioned by the police and were allowed to leave the restaurant in a controlled manner.
Search so far fruitless
The investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department in collaboration with the district troops and the search for the previously unknown perpetrator were immediately started, but have so far been without success. Nothing is yet known about the motive for the shooting.
