A 41-year-old was driving too fast and drunk on the A1 Westautobahn when he was stopped near Seewalchen. Particularly explosive: his two small children were in the back of his car.
Because he was driving too fast, the 41-year-old from Hellmonsödt was stopped by a patrol on Saturday around 10 p.m. on the Westautobahn near Seewalchen/Attersee and subjected to a driver and vehicle check.
“Flag” revealed the driver
Officers noticed that the driver was clearly under the influence of alcohol. The alcohol test that was carried out at that time showed a value of 1.78 per mille. The man is said to have answered the alcohol test with the words ‘I am above 1.6 anyway. That’s the full program, so I can refuse the breathalyzer immediately.
What was especially bad was that his two small children – reportedly aged between four and eight – were in their child seats in the back of his car.
