Police in Bavaria are investigating people who dumped piles of hay and manure on the street early on Thursday, blocking traffic routes. The actions can probably be attributed to some farmers, police said on Thursday.
The Würzburg police department says it is investigating suspected dangerous disruption of road traffic and possible environmental crime.
Manure and manure on the street
Farmers across Germany had previously called for protests against offices and authorities. Manure and liquid manure in particular must be dumped. In Lower Franconia, the entrances and exits of roundabouts on the B13 were blocked, making it impossible to pass through.

The access roads to the B19 were also affected in several places by dumped manure heaps and bales of straw. Unknown people set fire to a truck tire on the B303. Fire brigade and road maintenance services have cleared the roads again.
“We’re lucky no one got hurt.”
The police urgently warn against actions that endanger traffic. “I say clearly and distinctly: anyone who creates obstacles on roads where high speeds are sometimes permitted and thereby endangers others is clearly going too far! We can consider ourselves fortunate that no one was injured,” Lower Franconia police chief Detlev Tolle said, the statement said.
