Three injured as a result of a head-on collision between an ambulance and a pick-up. The ambulance was apparently “shot” by the car. The first report of the accident sounded bad, but fortunately the injuries do not appear to be too serious.
The accident happened on Thursday afternoon on the Voralpenstrasse between Bad Hall and Rohr im Kremstal in the town of Hehenberg. A car, more specifically a pickup, had apparently ended up on the wrong side of the road and collided head-on with the oncoming ambulance.
No patient on board
The ambulance drove without patients, but two paramedics and the pickup driver were injured. Initially, the emergency services who were alerted assumed that people were trapped, but at the scene of the accident it turned out, to everyone’s relief, that the three injured people had only suffered minor injuries and had already gotten out of the vehicles. As a precaution, everyone came to the Welskliniek for a check-up.
Blocked for an hour
The B122 Voralpenstrasse was closed for about an hour between Bad Hall and Rohr im Kremstal. The fire brigade has set up a large-scale diversion.
