A 24-year-old woman in Britain has been in prison for years for deliberately running over her fiancé. A court in the western English city of Chester sentenced the woman to life in prison for murder on Friday.
She can only be released again after 18 years. The student lost her temper over an argument and used her vehicle as a weapon, prosecutor Andrew Ford said.
Towed 160 meters
The couple was returning home from a party in May 2022 when the woman got into her car and hit her boyfriend. He got back up, but his partner ran over him again. The 24-year-old fell under the vehicle and was dragged another 160 metres.
The drunken perpetrator reported to neighbors who called an ambulance. The emergency doctor could only determine that the man was dead.
