Serious traffic accident in Eastern Styria: On Monday evening, a driver may have overlooked a truck while turning, resulting in a head-on collision. The 49-year-old was trapped in her car and seriously injured.
On Monday around 5:45 p.m., a 49-year-old drove her car from Pinggau towards Tanzegg. Police say the woman may have missed a truck coming from the left when she entered an intersection.
Locked in the vehicle
The woman collided head-on with the truck and became trapped in her vehicle due to the force of the impact. After being rescued by the fire brigade, she was seriously injured and flown to the LKH Graz by rescue helicopter. According to police, the 43-year-old truck driver escaped without serious injuries.
