Dramatic incident in a Leobner school (Styria): A 54-year-old teacher fell three floors into a stairwell and was killed. Although there is no concrete evidence of foul play, the incident leaves unanswered questions. The police are investigating.
The death of a teacher at a school in Leoben, Upper Styria, is causing a stir. As the police announced on Thursday, the 54-year-old reportedly fell from the second floor in the basement into the stairwell around 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
The teacher died from his injuries
Colleagues immediately provided first aid and a rescue team including an emergency doctor was even able to stabilize the seriously injured man at the scene of the accident. Shortly afterwards the teacher died from his serious injuries.
Autopsy revealed no abnormalities
Because the circumstances of the incident could not be clearly clarified, Leoben’s police department took over the investigation and an autopsy was performed on the body. The autopsy revealed multiple injuries caused by a fall from a great height; any health problems at the time of the fall could not be determined.
According to the police, there is no concrete evidence, but intent cannot be completely ruled out. Witnesses are now being investigated and questioned.
